Drowned In Coffee

Drowned In Coffee is our 12.0% Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout inspired by the traditional Italian coffee-based dessert, affogato al caffè. For this blend, we tasted through our cellar of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts and selected three of our favorite barrels including stouts aged in Blanton's, Stagg Jr. and Jim Beam bourbon barrels. The average age for this blend was over 20 months. This blend was then conditioned on exotic vanilla beans from Comoros, Australia and Madagascar and freshly roasted dark coffee. Drowned In Coffee pours jet black with aromatics of French vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate, creamy caramel and aged rum, with a beautifully fresh coffee nose.
